Everything You Need to Know About 4D

When the lottery is mentioned, people immediately think of a big check indicating a significant amount of money. To win the lottery is most people’s dream, one that is not limited by age or social standing. Many try to play the lottery wishing to change their fates overnight. One of the most famous lottery games in Singapore and Malaysia is the 4D online.

Like any other type of lottery game, this game grants individuals the chance to win hefty sums at a minimal cost of a lottery ticket. Everyone interested and willing to try playing 4D Singapore online must first understand it better by learning its mechanics, bet types, and even prize structures.

Initially, 4D is offered by Singapore Pools, the state-owned lottery subsidiary company of the Singapore Totalisator Board of Tote Board. In 1985, the Singapore Pools announced its plans to roll out 4D lottery bets and, since then, has been the primary provider of 4D. On the other hand, 4D has four primary providers in Malaysia, namely: Sports Toto, Da Ma Cai, Magnum 4D, and Derby Blue and Derby Green.

While Singapore Pools outlets are where bettors are accustomed to placing 4D bets before, players can now buy 4D online with ease and convenience through reportable online gaming platforms. Only people 18 years and older can legally partake in this game.

The mechanics of this lottery game is to bet a 4-digit number on a permutation of 0000 to 9999. They must bet on it before 6:00 PMon a draw day. 4D draws occur at 6:30 PM on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and  Sundays. Accordingly, the lottery game consists of 23 winning numbers in every draw.

The player has two types of bet options: big or small. The former can provide 23 winning chances as one 4-digit winning number is drawn for each of the top three prize categories and each for 4D starter and consolation prizes. Meanwhile, the latter provides three winning chances, allowing bettors to match their number to the winning numbers in the top three prize categories.
